Coaches
We have professionally trained coaches to lead our swim team. They conduct the weekly practices and lead the team during Saturday meets. Coaches and assistants have competitive swimming backgrounds and many also participate in the meets themselves or have been part of our swim team in the past. These coaches foster a healthy and safe environment where children of all ages and abilities build self-esteem and a winning attitude that will carry on throughout their life.

Ellen has been part of the Saratoga Woods Swim Team since she was 6 years old. She began coaching as a high school student in 2009, and continued as she studied at Santa Clara University. She has worked for SWCA in many roles including: Lifeguard Manager, Jr. Lifeguard Manager, Swim Instructor, and Swim Coach. Additionally, she teaches 6th grade at Saint Nicholas School, and is a Varsity Soccer coach at St. Francis High School.

Josh Tucker has been part of the Saratoga Woods Swim Team since he was five and this is his last season swimming on the team. He is in his third year of coaching and working as the Jr. Lifeguard Manager, Swim Instructor, and a Lifeguard. As a graduating senior at Archbishop Mitty High school, Josh played water polo and swam, including being captain for both teams this past year.
